Join Kali in the Kitchen for Tofu Scramble

Friend of Waste-Free Dayton Kali is back with another recipe for Meatless Monday, quick and versatile Tofu Scramble. Tofu is high in protein, has zero cholesterol, and is better for the environment than most other protein sources.

You can find plenty of recipes online for different versions of tofu scramble. The basic steps in Kali’s recipe are:

  • Sautée pressed tofu in a pan with oil (crumble first or while in pan)

  • Add spices such as turmeric, nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder

  • Add veggies with some broth or water

  • Add Kale with some lemon juice

  • Top with kimchi, hot sauce, and enjoy with a slice of sourdough bread
